The story of Agricola Paglione is the story of a family. In 1994, Faccilongo and Albano families, two families with a long farming tradition, begin the conversion of the farmland into organic farming. Beniamino and Maria Costanza decide to adopt their own processing workshop and make their own philosophy of "short food chain”. This dynamic farm business puts at the center of its work the respect for the land and the history and the gastronomic traditions of the area, the Daunia, the most northern region of Apulia, enhancing its native varieties.
Every product has a story. It sums up the rural roots of the family and the experience that has been handed down through four generations. The fields in the countryside of Lucera, between the Tavoliere and Daunia Apennines, are grown organically in the full respect of seasonality and improved during the entire year prior to harvesting.
After the working in the fields, the handmade work in laboratories follows. This work is meticulous and patient, as points of embroidery. Everything is freshly worked guaranteeing the highest quality of ingredients, without losing the flavors and tastes natural.
